Re: Well who has one???????

Craig,
The only one's I know of are a Greg from G&J Dingo Services (Osprey on here), has a diesel one, and Keith from Southside Dingo, has a petrol one.
As I don't know Keith, I'll have to ask Greg for a test fly of his. I'm sure we could tee up a comparo day in the paddock across the road. We'll supply the machines, you can put on the booze!  smile  smile  big_smile  big_smile  wink  wink

Just remembered...you could bring the 94...we can supply our own booze, and we ALL can go to town in the paddock!!  cool   cool

mmmmmmm hmm  hmm  hmm  Maybe "Dingo" should supply the booze!

Re: Well who has one???????

What started as a bit of a lark enquiry a few weeks back has gotten serious!  smile All things being equal, finance should settle tomorrow, and I'll be able to go in and pick up my NEW baby.....A brand spankers K9-3 AWD Perkins.
I really wanted to pimp it out with Chrome 10's, or least chromed 8's but alas, the finances just wouldn't stretch that far, so I just had to settle for the "Dealer option" DRINK HOLDER!!  big_smile  big_smile  lol  lol  cool  cool
Roll on tomorrow!!  smile  smile  smile  big_smile  big_smile  big_smile

Re: Well who has one???????

Hi all i have a k94 cat , had a k93 perkins (not so good ) 2 completely  different machines. K94 lifts more  pushes harder and is a lot more stable. best of all no more broken chains .i will say honestly that the cat drinks a lot more fuel . k93  got 1&1/2 days per tank. k94 cat gets 1 day per tank, but its like a baby D9 and has no problem pushing my bobcat size 80 kg spreader bar.I don't  know how u guys get by with the dingo bars.

Re: Well who has one???????

Dave!  Congratulations buddy.
I know this is your first brand new machine and I'm very jealous but keen to hear your first impressions.  It must be great to have everything new and operating at full strength.  I hope to do something similar one day...but not yet.  I will be a bit more fussy about some of the jobs I do as well.

Any mate, enjoy and give us an update when you get time.

Dave,
How is the new machine, I've been meaning to ring you and find out..... then I see that you're a FLAMIN' c**k ROACH supporter so I don't think I'll be able to!!!! wink

Re: Well who has one???????

In a word.....Excellent!!
Only a couple of minor complaints. The controls are very responsive, so I've had to learn to be "soft" on them. New "Trellies" + responsive controls = torn up turf.

No play in crowd ram and bushes means no "float" when backblading.

No automatic slowing as the machine gets hot, the job doesn't take as long. Less dollars!

Apart from that.....I love it! Best of all though, the repayments are actually cheaper on this one!  big_smile  big_smile  big_smile

Re: Well who has one???????

OK guys, I've nearly got 50hrs up on "LOOBA" and I can say that she's a beauty! It has impressed me since day one. I'd have to say that it craps all over my old machine. I've done jobs on this one that I wouldn't have been keen on doing with the old girl. It definately has more "push" than the old one. The chance of broken chains, when working in soft stuff won't be missed either!!

The DRINK HOLDER works a treat! big_smile  big_smile  big_smile  cool  cool  cool

In all honesty, if was going to complain about anything it would be fuel economy. As Mark stated about his "Cat", she's thirstier! Economy comparison is about the same as Mark. It may be because the motor is new and "tight". Time will tell.

Re: Well who has one???????

Dave,
I can solve that problem for ya!
Bring her up here for a couple of weeks and I'll work the "tightness" out of the motor for you.  No charge!  (Maybe just a nominal fee....) tongue
I'll even throw in the old pup so you can be reminded of how the rest of the world lives for a while. big_smile
Glad it's going well for you though, it's great having tools and machines that do what you expect and then more.  Makes life sooo much easier.  You'll have to chuck on some photos one day...
