Re: Welcome

We have cut back on Field days.  We find it better to simply "look after the existing customers" than it is to try and go to every "DOG FIGHT".

Dont worry He will be back .

I would like to thank Craig for the promt service that i received in the brisbane workshop yesterday. I rang him before opening hours and  after a 3hr trip from job to bris, he was able to fit me straight in for a new set of K94 arms and mount plate. 1 1/2 hours later was done loaded and ready to return home.

Once again, Thanks Craig and the team at the Brisbane Branch. smile  smile  smile

Hi Guys
Just going through older posts,Re hand grips.
The wife had an old abb cruncher exercise thingy (dust catcher).
Long story short,it had a soft tubing thing over the metal, that is easily removed after soaking in soapy water.Reapplied the same way, very user friendly.Recently sold old machine with 2 yr old recyled grips and fitted leftover tubing to new machine, cant feel the difference.

Re: Welcome

They say you should never discuss Politics or Religion.  Aussies usually don’t.  I always leave religion alone, but when things go as bad as they are now, I cannot help myself doing a bit of delving into the Political reasons.

No matter which side you sit, you have to admit things are stuffed.  Why?

I was reading comment on this forum and it made me think hard.  This forum is open to everyone and my competitors use it to their advantage so I might as well too.  I was reading about a Dingo owner who admits that he purchased his machine second hand. So we adopted him.  Who admits very good service from Dingo and that his Dingo has provided him a good income for 7 years. Who traded using the Dingo name. But then he lets a Salesman sell him a Competitor product.  A salesman that, a year ago would have just as easily sold him a Dingo.  Yes, I trained the guy.  I looked after him too.  Fed and educated his kids as well.

So, am I upset that I missed a sale?  Not really.  We have to have choice.  But I am not happy that Aussies sell foreign products to Aussies and that the excuse is always dollars.   Both Aussies who should know better.  Both Aussies who expect other Aussies to give them work.

Why is the American stuff cheaper here?  Because in America they still use slave labour to make things cheaper.  At the same time they use politics to keep their dollar competitive.  Slave labour comes in many forms.  These days the slaves actually get paid.  A very minimal wage with very minimal working conditions.  If you tour the factorys in America as I have, you see conditions similar to Australia in the 60’s.  And when they cannot do it cheap enough there, they import and just assemble at home.  And call it American made.

Because the American politics is very good at the   “Uncle Sam is looking after you.”   theme,  Americans always buy American.  And they are passionate about America controlling the World.  And they make sure that they do it.  And we let them.  In fact, we encourage them.

So what about the Aussie Made, Aussie Owned, Aussie Proud.  Aussie jobs for Aussies.

We have a great Country.  We love our lifestyle.

Despite the recession, Dingo Australia  remains the ONLY STAND ALONE  Mini Loader manufacturer in the WORLD.  Every other manufacturer leans on other product to prop up their Mini Loader business.

Yes, we are a little more expensive in dollar terms, but Dingo is actually cheaper to own and will make you more money, when you compare apples with apples.  And we proudly use as much Aussie content as is possible.  We use the best components possible.  And we employ all Aussies who work under Aussie workplace rules.  There is no slave labour here.

So why did I start with politics?   Because attitude starts at the top.  Because we need to change attitude and have a PROUD AUSTRALIA for AUSSIES.

Because we need to ensure our future by buying Aussie.  If you need to buy second best, you can still buy an Aussie made product.  BUT FOR AUSTRALIA’S SAKE, NEVER CONSIDER IMPORTS.

And because throughout my lifetime, as the Politics in this great Country changed with the change in quality of the leaders, so did the ATTITUDE coming from the top.  So I blame politics for Aussies who lose the plot.  The poor sods can’t help it.  They got it from their leaders.

Re: Welcome

I have owned and operated several Dingo Mini Diggers since 1997.
My first machine was the popular 950P, our 2nd machine was a 950P/LPG with Poly-planer, the third a 950D tandem trailer kit! All fantastic machines in their own right!

After a couple of years out of the saddle, today I bought our 4th machine, a K9-3 with standard attachments and have to tell you guys these machines just keep getting better!

Our philosophy is simple, always buy Australian, why? Because our kids wont move to the states to get work and Japan or China wont invest in Australia with service and research into our industry.

But every dollar we spend in Australia, is benefiting all Australians!

A few years back I did a stint with one of the yanky imposters and have to say they struggle to live up to any of the hype stated in their brochures.
The machine I was involved with struggled with heat retention, yes is had pushing power but after a couple of hours in the summer heat they struggled!
Some of the technology in these imported machines isn't NEW stuff, actually most of it was used by Dingo in the late 80's early 90's!
Thats how far behind the so called experts actually are!

Now, I have sold Dingo's for Gary and even did a stint as the NSW manager in 2001 through to 2003.

This bloke, Gary Briggs stands behind every machine that has rolled out of the Dalby Factory.

I count myself extremely privileged to wear the Dingo Badge of honor!

Keep up the great work guys, Australia is counting on it!

Re: Welcome

I try to buy Australian when and where I can. I didn't even look at other brands of machine before I upgraded. Don't like some aspects of the Kanga, and I don't think the American machines are built tough enough for our conditions.
The bit that gets me, when it comes to some items is simply the greed of Aussie businesses. Take for example this item I'm trying to source from the USA atm. NO Aussie company makes one. I can either use Aussie bits and put a similiar one together myself (approx $1800-$2k), purchase the EXACT same IMPORTED item already here in Australia (approx $1600), or import one myself (depending on freight cost, about $1100-$1300). I'm paying 3-500 dollars more for the same item in Australia!!! Sure, they've got to make money on it, but bear in mind their buy cost would be cheaper (I'm sourcing mine through a retailer), and their freight SHOULD be cheaper as well.
Sell one per month at 30% GP or 3 at 10%GP.....Same difference isn't it???
